McLaren driver Jenson Button set the top time for Practice 2 at the Istanbul Park Circuit, Turkey. British driver Button set a time of 1:26.456, beating Mercedes GP driver Nico Rosberg by less than a tenth of a second. Jenson Buttons team mate Lewis Hamilton was third followed by Nico Rosbergs team mate Michael Schumacher in fourth.

Red Bull Racing’s driver Mark Webber finished the session in fourth with his team mate Sebastian Vettel not taking part, due to his accident in the first practice session earlier in the morning. The only accident in P2 was Pastor Maldonado who spun and smashed his front wing off the barriers.
