Renault will reveal two secret new concepts and no less than five new production cars in Frankfurt next month, including the stylish Clio Sport Tourer.
With no Paris Show this year, the French makers have to make do with the massive Frankfurt exhibition instead, but they're holding nothing back. Renault alone will reveal seven world premiers, including two still-secret concepts.
We suspect that the concepts could include a sports car and a convertible version of the new Twingo, but we'll have to wait until next month to find out for sure. Meanwhile, the production debuts will include the new Laguna in hatch and Sport Tourer variants and probably Renault's first SUV, based on the Koleos concept car.
Also based on a 2006 show car is the new Clio Sport Tourer. Today, Renault released the first official shots of the production version of this car. Though not as dramatic as the Grand Tour concept exhibited in Geneva earlier this year, the showroom model is undeniably stylish, with the concept's sloping rear screen in tact, as is the rising waistline.
Renault is targeting hip young families with the new Clio Sport Tourer, so there should be a wide range of engine and trim options available. We'll know more when the covers come off in just a few weeks.
