Audi is commemorating its centenary by introducing the A5 Sportback – a striking five door version of the A5 Coupé. The A5 Sportback is marginally longer than its stable-mate but maintains the sweeping lines of the elegant coupé. The additional length improves rear passenger space and increases luggage capacity to 980-litres (with rear seats down).

This stylish addition to the range is available with four engines. The 2.0-litre and 3.2-litre petrols generate 211PS and 265PS respectively. The 2.0-litre and 3.0-litre diesels generate 170PS and 240PS. All models, except the 2.0-litre diesel six-speed manual, are teamed with seven-speed dual-clutch S tronic transmission. This essentially combines automatic and semi-automatic gearboxes.

The A5 Sportback comes with a choice of three specifications, Standard, SE, and S. Standard equipment includes, climate control, CD player, and the driver's information system. SE models benefit from leather upholstery and parking sensors, and the range topping S includes 18-inch alloy wheels and more muscular styling.

The Audi A5 Sportback is available to order now for delivery from October. Prices start at £25,440 rising to £36,220 on-the-road.
