The V8 engine in the Audi RS5 is more powerful than the Audi R8 supercar and is capable of 0-62 mph in just 4.6 seconds. The Audi RS5 has a seven speed S-tronic twin clutch gearbox and uses Audi’s legendary Quattro all wheel drive. Top speed is limited to 155 mph although Audi can increase that to 174 mph on request.

Visually the Audi RS5 looks the part, unique 19 or 20 inch alloys, revised LED tail lights and a rear spoiler that deploys automatically at 74mph finish off all the exterior tweaks. On the inside electric sport seats take pride of place, while RS badging on the steering wheel and door sills, and an in-built lap timer hint at the car's potential.

Prices are expected to start from under £60,000 when the car goes on sale in May. First deliveries begin in October.
