The Bentley Continental Supersports Convertible reminds me of Wembley Stadium. Both have sky-high prices for starters, as the car costs £182,100 and the building came in at £798,000,000. Both have legendary ancestors too. Bentley has a long-established sporting pedigree and the previous stadium hosted numerous notorious battles. This responsibility now falls to the new structure that houses the Champions League Final on May 28th.

Now, let's consider a subject close to my heart – curves. The Bentley's sweeping profile is so striking it could stop a penalty shoot out. The stadium's curvaceous equivalent is the mighty arch. This stretches for 315 metres across London and leaps 7 metres into the air. Furthermore, like the Continental, this magnificent structure has a retractable roof. It covers 90,000 people but the car only manages to shield four. Bentley, please try harder.

Wembley's roof moves via a series of motors but the Bentley only has one - a 6.0-litre W12. This produces 621bhp and propels the Continental Supersports Convertible to 60mph in an eye-watering 3.9 seconds. This two-door six-speed automatic beauty then races to a staggering 202mph. Faster even than a referee punishing a professional fowl – and remarkable considering it has parking sensors, cruise control, and leather seats.

So, we have a fantastic car - a fantastic stadium - and a fantastic line-up for the 2011 Champions League Final. Roll on Sunday 19:45.
