Lamborghini showcased new trends in personalization for Gallardo and Murcielago.
The Lamborghini Ad Personam personalization program allows owners to individualize their Lamborghini at the factory and three beautiful examples at the Detroit show represent a further expansion of the program.
The limited-edition Lamborghini Reventon debuted at the Frankfurt Motor Show in Marrone Apus matte brown paint, the first Lamborghini offered with a matte finish. Now available on standard Lamborghini models, the Gallardo Spyder in Detroit was finished in Marrone Apus, a matte finish between black and brown with pigment in the paint to create an iridescent look that gives off gold reflections in sunlight.
Inside, the Gallardo features a new shade of brown Alcantara, known as Marrone Gaia, combined with Marrone Janus and Bianco Polar leather.
A new shade of light blue, Blu Cepheus, is also added to the Ad Personam program and was featured on a Murcielago LP640 Roadster and Murcielago LP640 Coupe. The pale blue paint is inspired by the transparency of polar ice and has the same iridescent qualities as the Marrone Apus matte paint which presents a more primary blue in sunlight.
The leather in the Murcielago PL640 Roadster is another addition to Ad Personam, called Vultumna, an Italian leather from the region of Tuscany in keeping with Tuscany’s leather tanning tradition. The leather is untreated, inspired by the natural leather of horse saddles and the color will change over time.
“Lamborghini is strongly focused on the Ad Personam personalization program due to the importance of offering customers the widest range of possibilities for individualizing their cars. This allows them the ability to reflect their own personality and style,” states Stephan Wilkelmann, president and CEO of Autombili Lamborghini. “Many of our customers take advantage of this program as a tool for owning an even more exclusive Lamborghini.”
Lamborghini also announced the formation of a new national sales company, Automobili Lamborghini America, LLC, to better serve U.S. customers, and will act as the distribution center for Lamborghini vehicles in the U.S.
