Ford Fiesta product manager Chris Muers commented, 'Typically, around 10% of small car buyers specify an auto option, so convenience technology is an important addition to a range that now offers an option for every taste and need.'
Despite being an automatic Ford are emphasising the Fiesta's 'sporty' credentials. Ford claim the electronic throttle is tuned to respond differently according to 'how much and how sharply it is applied'. Aggressive inputs generate sporty responses whereas gentle inputs deliver a more progressive feel. Is it just me, or does that sound like every other throttle?
The Ford Fiesta automatic is available with Style+, Zetec, and Titanium trims. Prices range from £13,195 - £14,695 on-the-road.
