The UK’s top selling van the Ford Transit has been awarding ‘Best Medium Van 2012’ by leading magazine What Van?
Editor of What Van? Paul Barker said “the new Stage 5 Ford Transit has made impressive improvements to the UK’s most popular light commercial vehicle, and brought new levels of refinement and economy to the iconic model. Efficiency gains will save operators money, more important than ever in the current climate, and add further appeal to a range of vehicles that have all-round appeal.
ECOnetic technologies available on Ford commercial vehicles include Auto-Start-Stop (which automatically shuts down the engine when at idle, and with the transmission and clutch disengaged) and 70mph Speed Limiter. There are also two new Ford Transit ECOnetic models with CO2 levels from as low as 173g/km an improvement of up to 8.5 per cent in fuel economy and emissions versus the original Transit ECOnetic. The latest Ford Fiesta Van ECOnetic has a class-leading 95g/km CO2.
