The Geneva Motor Show commences on Thursday 3rd March. This will be the 81st International Motor Show held in Geneva.
The latest new models will be unveiled by car manufacturers including the world’s first diesel plug in hybrid. Volvo claim the Volvo V60 diesel hybrid emits less than 50g/km of co2 emissions and Volvo say that a plug in diesel hybrid gives the driver the “very best of what an electric and diesel car can offer” which is low fuel consumption and low CO2 emissions combined with long range and high performance.
Honda will also boast their environmental credentials at the Geneva Motor show with the Honda Jazz EV Concept. The Honda Jazz EV is set to debut in 2012 and has been designed to meet the daily driving needs for city dwellers. This plug-in hybrid is reportedly estimated to achieve a hundred mile driving range per charge.
MINI will be using the Geneva Motor Show to unveil a range of new sporty diesel models based on the regular MINI Cooper and MINI Cooper Convertible, as well as the longer wheelbase MINI Clubman and MINI Countryman SUV.
The Geneva Motor Show is open Monday to Friday 10am until 8pm and Saturday and Sunday 9am to 7pm, tickets are available to purchase online.
