Bentleys greenest car ever began as an under-the-radar project to see how weight saving might pave the way for an extreme version of the Bentley Continental GT. This version is the first model to meet Bentley’s commitment to reduce CO2 emissions by ensuring that all its models can run on a blend of 85% bio-ethanol and 15% petrol by 2012.
The Bentley Continental Supersports retains all the comfort and refinement essential to a Bentley. The rear seats have been dispensed of shedding approximately 110kg in weight. The body has been reshaped and the outputs of the twin turbo engine have been upped to 621 bhp. It has also retuned the electronic variable shock absorbing system and fitted carbon-ceramic brakes inside 20 inch wheels.
The Bentley Continental Supersports is capable of 0-60mph in 3.7 seconds and can reach a top speed of 204mph. It is on sale now and prices start at £163,400.
