The Jaguar XFR played a starring role in the CarFest motoring event over the August Bank Holiday weekend, taking part in a crowd-pleasing ‘live action’ chase sequence. The car went head to head with a Ford Focus ST, recreating a high-octane scene from the much-anticipated new movie The Sweeney.

The Jaguar XFR is powered by a 5.0 litre V8 petrol engine; it is capable of 0-60mph in just 4.7 seconds and has an electronically limited top speed of 155mph. It is the most dynamic and exhilarating expression of Jaguar sporting luxury. CarFest is a brand new motoring event for enthusiasts, and is the brainchild of DJ and broadcaster Chris Evans. It was staged at Laverstoke Park Farm, an estate in Overton, Hampshire, owned by ex-Formula 1 champion Jody Scheckter.

The Jaguar XFR and other Jaguar cars were on show throughout the two-day event, which was attended by approximately 15,000. The vehicles will also be present at CarFest North, to be staged at Cholmondeley Castle, Cheshire on 8-9 September 2012.
