The LA show opens it doors next week it traditionally holds a design challenge and this year is no different. The theme for the 2009 show is 'Youthmobile 2030'. It looks at how the role of the car will change and connect with a new generation of drivers in the not-too-distant future. Car manufacturers have been invited to come up with designs that young drivers would want from their cars in 2030.
Los Angeles is the city of dreams and LA has injected some glamour back into Americas motor show calendar despite the economic situation. All major firms are due to attend and visitors will be able to view all new metal and concepts including the Porsche Boxster Spyder, Lexus LFA, MINI Roadster Concept, BMW Vision EfficientDynamics Concept and many more, there is also a performance orientated hall where tuners are displaying ways to make your own car go quicker.
The show has revealed that debuts from Audi, Jaguar, Lexus, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, Rolls-Royce and more are planned, and as always there will be a strong focus on green technology as LA is one of Americas most forward thinking environmental state so electric and advanced hybrid vehicles are expected to play core roles at many automaker’s displays as well.
