Land Rover announces 2009 Discovery
Central to the revisions are a series of changes to the car's body, including new front and rear bumpers, which are body-coloured on all models. The wheelarches are now also body-coloured on all passenger-carrying models, as is the tailgate's lift handle.
Meanwhile, the side vent and door handles are now coloured in tungsten, and the side indicator repeaters have clear lenses. Finally on the exterior, a new seven-spoke 19-inch alloy wheel will be available, as will three new metallic pain colours, Santorini Black, Galway Green and Bournville (black with a hint of brown, say Land Rover). Upgrades to the interior include a new Almond trim colour and an updated Bluetooth system.
Further details are yet to be confirmed, but Land Rover has said that prices for the revised range will start from £29,950. That's almost exactly the same as the existing seven-seat TDV6 GS, suggesting that the company will drop the entry-level TDV6, the only current model with just five seats, when the revised range goes on sale.
