The Grand Modus is a longer version of the Modus, with an extra 93mm slotted into its wheelbase, while a longer rear overhang contributes to the Grand being 242mm longer overall than its normal sibling.
Not even Renault could squeeze seven seats into the Grand Modus, but the added length gives rear passengers more legroom while also freeing up an impressive 410-litres of boot space, which is 136-litres more than a normal Modus manages. The sliding rear bench seat also allows the boot space and rear passenger spaces to be varied.
The Grand Modus is on sale from February 2008 in the UK and benefits from the same facelift as the standard car, though no word yet on prices. The facelift consists of lightly restyled headlights, giving the Modus an appearance much like that of its Scenic big brother. There's also a more prominent scoop to the lower bumper and air intake, and a smoothed-off rear bumper. Inside, the Modus is unchanged.
