The Evora is Lotus’s first all new car for thirteen years and it seems that it is worth the wait. It is a sports car with sensational looks, serious performance and hides a unique 2+2 seating layout so it becomes the worlds first 2+2 mid engine sports car.
Inside, you will find yourself in a cabin with hand stitched leather and a smart metal trim finish to the centre console. The two rear seats can just about cope with a small adult on a short journey but are best suited to children.
The Lotus Evora uses a 3.5 litre 276bhp V6 Toyota sourced engine; it hits 60mph in just 4.9 seconds and soars to a top speed of 162mph. Lotus claim the Evora is capable of 32.5 mpg and the co2 emissions are 205g/km. This puts the car in Band K which is a road tax of £215.
The first 450 cars will be equipped with Tech, Sport and Premium option packs. These add sat-nav, extra cabin luxury, a rear diffuser and sport button to adjust throttle response.
The Evora will be launched next month starting price at £47,500 rising to £58,000.
