A luxurious new book launched in Berkeley Square London is the ultimate luxury publication to celebrate the ultimate drivers Bentley - the remarkable Bentley Brooklands.
The Bentley Brooklands is a modern day car and only 438 have been made. The book pays homage to the fact that this rare and special car is painstakingly handmade, using time honoured coach building skills. The Bentley Brooklands is a true driver’s machine and can claim to be one of the last Grand Tourers of modern times.
The book is co-written by author and racing driver Tony Dron and his fellow journalist Simon de Burton. The book builds up a fascinating picture of the skill and dedication needed to produce such a modern day automotive icon. Simon de Burton describes an evocative journey in a brand new Bentley Brooklands starting in London and driving through the Cote d’Azur in France.
The book, ‘The Bentley Brooklands’, is available in two versions. The ‘Special’ edition, to be published in strictly limited numbers, is bound in high-quality burgundy Pasubio leather to match the interior of the featured car. In addition, it has a velvet-lined, burgundy Pasubio leather-covered slipcase and foil blocking on front and spine. The ‘Standard’ version is bound in burgundy cloth, with a velvet-lined burgundy cloth slipcase and, again, foil blocking on front and spine. The two versions are priced at £295.00 and £125.00, respectively.
