A new version of the BMW Z4 will make its debut in January at the Detroit Motor Show. The new model will be called the BMW Z4 sDrive35is. This new version is based on the s Drive 35i but the engine has been uprated uprated and now produces 340bhp rather than the standard 306bhp, while maximum torque has been increased from 295lb/ft to 332lb/ft in normal circumstances and 369lb/ft for brief periods of hard acceleration.
Performance figures basically stay the same top speed still at 155mph and 0-62mph at 4.8 seconds just a slight increase. Co2 ratings are believed to be the same at 31.4 mpg although this car will feel a lot quicker than the Z4 s Drive 35i. Equipment levels on the BMW Z4 offer most of what you would expect for a car at this price, alloy wheels, stability control, dual-zone air conditioning, power for windows and mirrors, the usual full complement of six airbags, plus beady Xenon headlamps.
The BMW Z4 sDrive35is will make its formal debut at the Detroit Show in January and will go on sale in the UK two months later, priced at £43,885 (including VAT at 17.5%).
