The UK’s cheapest new car, the entry model named Access is priced from just £5995 and ‘accessible’ it is to probably most people at that price. If you can find the deposit of £1845 the monthly payments are only £69 per month with APR at 9.4%. It may be an entry model but specification is far from basic with 15” steel wheels, power assisted steering, a 60/40 split folding seat and daytime running lights. For just another £600 you can purchase the mid level Ambiance which offers radio CD player with fingertip remote controls, USB and AUX input, Bluetooth, remote central locking, electric front windows, body coloured bumpers and 15” ‘Colorado’ wheel trims.
The Sandero can be pre-ordered online with a no quibble refundable deposit of just £100. If you can stretch to £7995 you can purchase the top of the range Lauréate, the equipment on this model is extremely generous and includes air conditioning, heated and electrically adjustable door mirrors, cruise control and electric rear windows all as standard. There is also a height adjustable driver’s seat and steering wheel, leather steering wheel and gear knob and an upgraded radio CD player with MP3 CD reader and fingertip remote controls and four speakers, a trip computer and a speed limiter. The exterior of this model boasts 15” ‘Kalahari’ wheel trims, chrome front grille, front fog lights and body-coloured door handles and door mirrors and the interior is equally as outstanding with a graphite look finish for the centre console surround, front door handles and steering wheel lower insert. There’s also an optional fully-integrated 7-inch touchscreen navigation and multimedia system for just £250. This model will probably be the most popular choice as you really are getting a lot of car for your money.
Safety features on all models include anti-lock ABS brakes with Emergency Brake Assist, traction control, Electronic Stability Control, driver, passenger and front side airbags and ISOFIX points in both outer rear seats.
