New Dodge Challenger STR8

Dodge has revealed images of the new 2008 Challenger STR8. It will mark 35 years since the car went out of production; the new design staying true to Challenger heritage and styling. It's powered by a 6.1-litre V8 with 425bhp and each will feature a limited edition numbered plaque on the dash. The STR8 has been developed by Chrysler's in-house performance engineering organization, and performance targets are said to include a 0-60 mph time in the low 5-second range, 0- 100- 0 mph in less than 17 seconds. Despite there being no immediate plans for a right-hand drive version, Chrysler isn't completely ruling out the possibility. The Challenger STR8 goes on sale in the US this spring priced from around $37,995.
