The facelifted new Fiat Punto Evo goes on sale in January. Fiat is using the name Evo to mark out the Evolution version of its Grande Punto supermini.
Updated with a new front end with bigger grille and a more intricate rear bumper and rear light clusters the Fiat Evo really has improved, the interior has a classier feel with a textured dashboard and a piano black centre console. There are two new 1.4 litre ‘multiair’ petrol versions available which have cut the co2 emissions and fuel consumption. The 1.4 Fiat Evo is capable of 0-62mph in 10.8seconds and has a top speed of 115mph. The Fiat Evo 1.3 litre diesel is also impressive and has a top speed of 103mph. Both versions have an engine stop start system to further cut emissions and fuel use.
Prices for the new Fiat Evo start at an estimated £9900 for the petrol and the diesel. The car is available to order in a choice of thirteen colours and will be on sale from January 2010.
