The Smart ForTwo has just set new records for fuel consumption at 85.6mpg and low emissions of just 86g/km.
There is a 999cc three cylinder petrol engine with either 70, 83 bhp or the Brabus 98bhp and a 45bhp 0.8 litre diesel. Both the smaller engines can keep up on motorways, and around town the Smart ForTwo is cheap motoring.
Inside the Smart ForTwo there is enough space for two tall adults to be comfortable and the boot is much bigger than some large four door rivals. Standard equipment on the Smart ForTwo includes remote central locking and a CD player, 15 inch alloy wheels, electric windows and a panoramic roof. Road Tax on the Smart ForTwo brings more savings costing only £35 for twelve months.
The Smart ForTwo has much tougher citycar competition to face in second generation guise but it still has its place for customers who only need two seats and want miniscule running costs in a tiny, fashionable package.
