The Kia Rio is cheap to buy and the diesel engine is strong. There is plenty of space inside and all models come supplied with generous levels of standard equipment. Prices for the new model will be announced nearer the on sale time which will be in September for the five door version. The three door version will go on sale in early 2012.
The new model offers an extensive range of fuel-efficient and low-CO2 petrol and diesel engines, including a 1.1-litre diesel unit generating 70 ps, with CO2 emissions from as low as 85 g/km. The Kia Rio earned itself a four-star crash test rating from Euro NCAP and every model has electronic stability control. Kia Rio 1 models come with just two front airbags, however, although the other models have six. All Kia Rios have ISOFIX fittings for child seats in the rear.
The interior of the Kia Rio has been updated to a high level of quality previously associated with larger models with a wide selection of trim options. The Kia Rio is roomy, good to drive and great value and lots better than its budget rivals.
