New Mercedes-Benz B-Class
Mercedes is debuting its fuel saving stop/start system for the impending B-Class facelift. The firm is claiming improvements in fuel consumption of up to 7% across the range. And the eco start/stop feature means a further potential reduction of 9%.
The two diesel models now manage 52.3 and 54.3mpg, up from 50.3 and 52.3mpg respectively, but the real green models are the petrol powered B150 and B170 BlueEfficiency models with the start/stop feature.
Inside we get new trim options and, just as the other facelifts this year, new infotainment systems with Bluetooth connectivity and other goodies. Hill start assist, a reach adjustable steering wheel and brake lights that flash under emergency braking are all also standard.
