New Mini John Cooper Works Hatch

Mini will resume production of John Cooper Works-tuned cars following the launch of the new Mini Cooper S Hatch and Mini Cooper S Clubman. Both versions will be available from July 2008 with 211bhp, capable of 62mph in 6.5 seconds. Even the speedo has been revised with a limit of 160mph to accommodate the new maximum speed of 148mph. The engine, brakes and suspension settings are all adapted from the Mini Challenge race car and a full range of John Cooper Works body styling is available too. Despite impressive performance figures both will return over 40mpg and meet the Euro 5 emissions standards for 2009. Prices for the hatch start from £20,500 and £21,700 for the Clubman. They will be unveiled at Geneva on 4th March.
