The Twingo will be available in two trims, Dynamique and GT.
Dynamique models come with individual sliding rear seats, front foglamps, side airbags at the front of the car, 15-inch alloy wheels and sports body styling.
Power is provided by a 76bhp 1.2-litre petrol engine, which emits 135g/km of carbon dioxide and manages average fuel consumption of 49.5mpg. Dynamique cars cost £8375.
GT models are £1620 more expensive, but add a leather steering wheel, aluminium-effect pedals, air-conditioning, electric heated door mirrors, a rear spoiler, sports suspension and tinted glass in the rear of the car.
GT cars have a turbocharged 99bhp 1.2-litre petrol engine, delivering a top speed of 117mph and an average fuel economy of 47.8mpg. Carbon dioxide emissions stand at 140g/km.
Orders for the new Twingo will be taken in July, with the first cars arriving in showrooms on September 7.
Expect demand to be high initially for the funky new Twingo, Renault are sure to launch more trim levels once initial launch is over. A Dynamique with air con seems to be a sensible buy, with a decent engine, low emmissions but still looking good.
