Fancy 25% off a SKODA Fabia? If so, grab a calculator and check-out the SE 1.2 12V 69PS Hatchback. This had a list price – for a short time - of £11,930, but its manufacturer is now selling for £8,950. Mr Calculator says that is a big saving, even though only a few people pay list prices. There are, however, restrictions. Motorists cannot specify optional extras such as the half leather seats, and only have a choice of three colours. These are: Black Magic pearl effect, Brilliant Silver metallic and Anthracite Grey metallic. Can I have a black one, please? Furthermore, best sign on the dotted line soon as SKODA's offer expires on July 31st 2012. Buyers can use a calculator to work-out how long they have left.

The SKODA Fabia SE 1.2 12V 69PS has numerous strengths to tempt maths lovers. For starters, as its manufacturer is part of the VW Group, it feels beautifully screwed together – and even without optional extras has plenty of toys. These include: air-con, electric mirrors, MP3 playback, alloys, and a CD player. This mile-muncher also feels secure on the road, has five doors for easy rear access, and a spacious 315-litre boot for your calculator collection. Cargo capacity can be increased to 1,180-litres by folding the rear seats flat, making way for an abacus too. The petrol engine, however, is slightly less impressive. Yes, it is smooth and refined but it takes a lengthy 14.9 seconds to propel motorists to 62mph. At least it averages a respectable 51.4mpg - or so my calculator says.
