Volkswagen America has announced a new special edition Beetle convertible named the Volkswagen Beetle Blush. Exclusive elements have been added to all the features available on the standard version.
According to reports the Volkswagen Beetle Blush has an exclusive exterior and interior colour which is not available on the standard Beetle. The car is painted in metallic White Gold with a red convertible top, the interior is completely rich red leather. Volkswagen has installed a red booth for when the convertible top is down. They have also added 17 inch alloy wheels. To raise or lower the hood in the Volkswagen Beetle Blush a mere thirteen seconds is all it takes which is due to a rather fabulous electro hydraulic system. Just hit the button once you have released the pair of latches on the windscreen header rail. The Volkswagen Beetle Blush is surprisingly quiet when the hood is in the upright position and includes a heated glass rear window.
Within the Volkswagen Beetle range there are five engines to choose, the 75bhp 1.4-litre, the 102bhp 1.6-litre, the peppier 2.0-litre 115bhp unit, the 150bhp 1.8-litre Turbo or the 1.9TDI diesel, now uprated to 105bhp. There is also an option of a six-speed automatic gearbox with the 2.0-litre petrol engine, this is offered with the Volkswagen Beetle Blush for reduced fuel consumption and lowered co2 emissions. The 2.0 Volkswagen Beetle includes alloy wheels, central locking, and electric front windows. Twin side and front airbags, and the must have flower vase on the dashboard. The 2.0 Volkswagen Beetle has a maximum speed of 114mph and is capable of 0-60 mph in 11.7 seconds.
