The new Polo model from Volkswagen is available to order ahead of its arrival in the UK this October and the manufacturer has been busy pointing out reasons why it might be an ideal purchase.
Priced from £11,995, the BlueMotion 1 model comes equipped with a CD player, electric windows and twin front and side airbags. It also qualifies for the tax-exempt vehicle excise duty band due to its fuel consumption figure.
Meanwhile, the BlueMotion 2 has a few more gadgets to entice potential buyers, such as air-conditioning, remote central locking and windscreen wipers that sense when rain hits the glass. This model is expected to start from £12,845.
Both have a 1.4-litre diesel engine with technology designed to improve economy and efficiency.
Volkswagen, which has manufactured the Polo for many years and has seen it stay a popular choice for many, said the BlueMotion range is proving to be a winner in mainland Europe, where it went on sale last year; according to the company, production was upped to fulfil excess demand.
