The Peugeot 207, Europe’s top selling small hatchback is now even greener than before, as they introduce their 2 latest models the Economique and Economique plus, which emit only 99g/km of CO2.
Peugeot have now put protecting our environment as their main priority and have built the car around this idea. Its been said they will continue to develop greener vehicles to reduce emissions to the lowest possible level. In 2008 one-sixth of new cars sold that emit less than 120 g/km of CO2 was a Peugeot.
It made its first appearance at the Geneva motor show earlier this year, where the new Peugeot 207 economique showed off how it uses the latest technology to reduce CO2 emissions to just 99g.
The new edition will go on sale October 2009 and will be available in both models.It will be priced with the entry level Economique three-door model starting at an on-the-road-price of £12,995.00.
The standard specification will include: Unique styling pack, 15 inch wheels with “Aero” trims, black dials, lion grey interior door handles, chrome insert to gear knob, black body-side mouldings, black door handles, electric air inlet flap, ABS, EBFD, EBA, passenger seat height adjustment, steering column adjustable for reach and rake, adjustable front head restraints, 2/3 – 1/3 split folding rear seat, electric front windows – “one touch” for the driver, three rear three-point inertia seat belts, remote control central locking with deadlocks, side airbags, passenger airbag, driver airbag, power steering.
The Economique + adds air-conditioning, electrically operated / heated door mirrors and a trip computer to the standard specification of the Economique version.
Peugeot dealers are expecting deliveries of the new low emission 207 at the end of this year.
