It is twenty five years since the last Gordini in the UK and Renault have announced the return of the iconic Gordini badge starting on the Renault Twingo next year.

Due a debut at the Champs-Elysees on November 25th before going on sale in March 2010 each Gordini will be painted in French blue with white racing stripes. There will be a swish new kit featuring luxuries such as quilted leather seats embossed with the Gordini logo, blue leather door inserts, blue dials, leather trimmed dashboard and 17in alloy wheels with a blue or black inner rim plus a spoiler and mirror caps finished in white.. Under the bonnet there is a 1.6 litre 133 hp petrol engine.

Prices will be expected to start at around the £14,000 mark and after the Renault Twingo versions of the Renault Clio and Renault Megane will follow.
