Revised Mazda 3 range prices
As before, the Mazda 3 range starts at £11,440, but the entry-level 1.4 S has gained extra equipment, including an auxiliary audio socket and an MP3-compatible stereo. Next step up the range is the Takara, which replaces the previous TS trim and costs from £13,495. Compared to the S, this adds climate control, curtain airbags and audio controls on the steering wheel. And, although it is £145 more expensive than the TS, it has electric rear windows, a 6-CD autochanger and 16-inch alloy wheels, which the TS did not.
At the same time, Sport replaces TS2 trim with the 1.6-litre petrol engine, and the £15,205 model adds 17-inch alloys, xenon headlamps and a premium Bose stereo to the outgoing car's specification. The 2.0-litre Sport model (£16,605 - £18,005) now has leather seats as standard, but costs just £235 more than before. Finally, the range-topping high-performance MPS (priced from £18,995) gains 18-inch alloy wheels and leather/Alcantara seats.
