The recent budget has pushed the Seat Ibiza E Ecomotive range into top pole position for fleet and business drivers trying to keep a lid on their company car tax and running costs.
Company car tax (BIK) is based on a percentage of the vehicles recommended retail price, the type of fuel it uses, the amount of Co2 emissions and the driver’s salary level. The bottom BIK threshold will be 94g/km or below from April 2013. The latest generation Seat Ibiza E Ecomotives will qualify for the very lowest BIK rate of 13% as emissions are as little as 92g/km.
The Seat Ibiza E Ecomotives are available in sporty SC, practical five door and ST estate bodystyles, these models are capable of 80mpg on the combined cycle which is why fleet and business managers may opt for one of these cars. The Seat Ibiza E Ecomotives are not only exempt from UK road tax (VED) but, as a result of changes announced at the start of this year, are also eligible for free entry to London’s revised Congestion Charge zone.
The Ibiza E Ecomotive models form part of a growing selection of Seat Ecomotive and E Ecomotive cars that also takes in versions of the Leon, Altea, Altea XL and Alhambra. Prices start at £13,490 RRP for the Ibiza SC S A/C E Ecomotive.
