A new five door version of the Seat Mii city car has been unveiled, this brings the 3.56 metre cars range into line with its VW and Skoda sister models.
The Mii Ecomotive will be available with a choice of 59bhp or 74bhp three-cylinder engines, with the lower output car having the lowest CO2 rating. It has achieved 68.9mpg on the European test cycle, with the higher-power version just behind at 67.3mpg.
Dr Matthias Rabe, Seat Vice-President for Research and Development, said “the five-door is the perfect expansion to our Mii line-up. Just as sporty, just as dynamic, but with a considerable increase in usability. When it comes to urban mobility, the Mii fulfils all demands.”
Prices in the UK have yet to be confirmed, but it is expected that the three-door Mii will undercut the Volkswagen Up by up to £500, so the five-door Mii is likely to cost around the same as the three-door Up, which starts from just under £8,000.
