Superminis dominated the top ten best sellers in the month of November; new car sales have slowed according to the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders with a total of 134,027 new registrations last month.
The Ford Fiesta still remains the UK’s best seller taking first place with 6195 sold. The Ford Fiesta is great to drive with precise steering and a supple well judged ride. The new all electric power steering is perfectly weighted and precise. The car is smart, drives well and is offered with a range of economical engines. The Vauxhall Corsa took second place with 5234 models sold with the VW Golf following in third place (4924) and the Ford Focus in fourth place with 4910 sold.
The Vauxhall Astra was in fifth place with 4518 and then the Volkswagen Polo sits in sixth place with 3306 sold. The Volkswagen Polo is not expensive to buy or to run. Emissions are low and miles per gallon are high. It is a desirable and popular supermini with a great image which results in favoured resale values.
The last four models in the top ten cars sold in November included the BMW Mini and some larger models; the Nissan Qashqai, the BMW 3 Series and the Mercedes C Class.
