The new Mazda 3 will hit showrooms this May. It delivers a sporty look with stylish interior and is more fuel efficient.
The lowest CO2 emitting car in the range is the 1.6 litre diesel at 119g/km, the 1.6 petrol is at 149g/km and the 2.0 litre version drops from 189g/km to 159g/km. The MPS version is powered by a 2.3 litre turbo engine to propel you from 0-62mph in just 6.1 seconds, and on to a top speed of 155mph.
From every angle, in every detail, the New Mazda-3 blends flowing bodylines with outstanding functionality. Key to the design are the spacious cabin, dynamic ‘face’, stylish wheels and a wide stance that creates a sense of stability and sturdiness. Unique styling cues, from the rearward sloping rear quarter windows to the stylish rear light clusters with their aerodynamically-optimised crystal covers, serve to reinforce the sense of individuality.
The 2.0-litre Sport version gets Mazda's 'i-stop' engine cut-off technology in stop-start traffic, which the maker claims can cut consumption by up to 14 percent. The models all have air conditioning, six airbags and a myriad of electric safety systems including 'Emergency Stop Signalling', which automatically puts the hazard warning lights on after an emergency braking manoeuvre.
