The new Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 has sold a years and half’s production already and the first UK deliveries are spoken for. This 6.5 litre V12 is named after a famous fighting bull from Spain and is a thirsty car returning only 13.5mpg. Carbonfibre monocoque is a Lamborghini first, resulting in a lighter, stiffer body, as is the F1-style pushrod suspension. New seven-speed ISR clutchless manual with paddle shifter, and three dynamic modes, from Strada, through Sport to Corsa.

Top speed in the Lamborghini Aventador is 217mph and the 0-62mph time is just 2.9 seconds. Inside there are the usual supercar bucket seats; supportive, comfortable and electrically adjustable. Interior features all-new LED instrument panel, with two display modes. All-wheel drive system is now by Haldex IV with electronic torque split, and active aerodynamics. Luggage goes under the bonnet where there is a surprisingly amount of space.

Prices start at £247,667 with the first UK customer deliveries in late summer, there is an 18-month waiting list.
