A rugged new version of the Fiat Qubo will be available later this month. The standard Fiat Qubo cuts out the middle men making the step from small commercial vehicle to small MPV courtesy of some added windows seats and styling enhancements. The engine in the Fiat Qubo is the Fiat 1.3 litre muiltijet diesel and is used across the small fiat car range. It has a top speed of 97 mph and it will reach 60mph in 16.5 seconds.
The new Fiat Qubo trekking version stands 20mm higher than the regular model and comes with sturdy features including front bumper with engine guard, exclusive wheel trims, Pirelli 2500 mud and snow tyres and rear Trekking stickers as standard.
The unique Traction+ system utilisies an electronic differential lock to the front wheels to improve handling and control in mud snow and other low grip conditions, an unlike most ordinary four wheel drive systems Traction+ does not have an impact on fuel economy or maintenance costs and is designed to attract a much wider audience of motorists looking for an affordable off road vehicle.
The new trekking Fiat Qubo is priced at £12,650 on the road and also comes equipped with Fiats Blue&Me entertainment and communications system and attracts a low tax rate thanks to the 115 g/km Co2 emissions.
