The 1.6 Hdi 110hp engine in Citroen’s C5 range has been re-homologated and now offers improved fuel efficiency, lower CO2 emissions and free first year VED. All the improvements apply to all trim levels of the Citroen C5 Saloon and Citroen C5 Tourer that are powered by the Hdi 110hp unit.
The fuel economy over the combined cycle has improved by 6% to 56.5mpg and the Co2 emissions have been reduced to 130g/km from 140g/km. All the Citroen C5 models that have been improved now qualify for free road tax for a year and join the VED Band D. All company car drivers will also benefit as there is a one point reduction in BIK taxation rates bringing it down to 18%.
