Mitsubishi’s improved Outlander is smarter, more powerful and more efficient thanks to variable valve technology. The Mitsubishi Outlander pioneers the use of variable valve timing due to the high tech 177bhp 2.2 litre MIVEC D-ID unit. MIVEC stands for ‘Mitsubishi Innovative Valve timing Electronic Control ‘.
The exterior of the Mitsubishi Outlander is similar to the smaller more dynamic ASX crossover which bases its front end on the ‘jet fighter’ nose the brand first used on its Lancer Evolution rally-replica. This gives the Outlander a more purposeful approach that makes it appear lower and more planted on the road. This is complemented by a smarter front skidplate, chrome bezels for the front foglamps and restyled side sills.
The interior features of the Mitsubishi Outlander have been dramatically enhanced with the introduction of faux leather with contrasting stitching on the dashboard and door panels. A new contrast colour LCD instrument meter display gives a higher quality feel than the current display.
