The Chevrolet Spark is a new city car that has all the right ingredients. It is everything a budget car should be, fun, cheeky and full of character.
The entry level is a mere 1.0 engine capable of 68bhp, the next engine is the Chevrolet Spark 1.2 which is 81bhp and has a maximum speed of 102mpg. Fuel economy for both engines is the same at 55.4mpg. Every Chevrolet Spark comes with a commendable six airbags and four stars were achieved overall in NCAP’s crash tests.
Inside the Chevrolet Spark the interior is reasonably strong; the speedo is a real dial and all over info is imparted by an LCD panel. Standard equipment is a bit of a disappointment as there isn’t a lot, not even a radio/CD. Upgrading to the trim level brings a radio/CD as well as air conditioning and electric windows. The Chevrolet Spark LS adds front fog lights, rear roof spoiler, adjustable steering column and remote central locking.
Prices start at £6945 for the 1.0 Chevrolet Spark going up to £9845 for the 1.2 model plus both models are negligible £30 band for car tax.
