The new Mercedes E Class Cabriolet is now fun for the back seat passengers as well as the front as Mercedes have fitted their new wind blocker named Aircap.

Aircap is now standard on all new Mercedes E Class Cabriolets; it consists of a retractable spoiler and mesh net in the top part of the windscreen frame and another mesh net between the rear head rests. There are more added comforts with this latest Mercedes E Class Cabriolet as you can have the Airscarf seat mounted neck warmers which are now movable so you can direct the warm air where you want it. There is also a new seven layer electrically operated hood that keeps the cabin snug and quiet when travelling closed.

Occupant protection in the Mercedes E Class Cabriolet includes head airbags for the first time in a Mercedes Cabriolet, roll over hoops and a clever system that monitors whether the driver is about to nod off. Another first for the Mercedes E Class Cabriolet is diesel power. There are now two 2.2 litre four cylinder diesels and a 3.0 litre V6 alongside the 1.8, 3.5 V6 and 5.5 litre V8 petrol engines.

Prices for this latest model start at £33,270 for the 1.8 rising to £53,390 for the Mercedes E Class Cabriolet 5.5 V8.
