Oh oh! The new Nissan GT-R Track Plus is here. Is there no mercy? The GT-R is already one of the fastest, most hard-core, and most extreme cars on the road – and now there is this even tougher version that has been optimised for the track. The brakes, for starters, have been enhanced with cooling vents in the front bumper and behind the rear wheels. These significantly cool the braking system to reduce stopping distances, and improve lap times. This complements the upgraded suspension that can - like all GT-Rs – be tweaked for a comfortable on-road ride. Curiously, these features are unavailable on the new Micra.

The Nissan GT-R Track Plus has further enhancements to distinguish itself from its siblings. The 'Track Plus' emblem on the centre console is the biggest clue, and it has six-spoke RAYS alloy wheels with dark centres. Very nice too. Furthermore, the rear seats have been removed to save weight, and the front seats are covered with a high- grip material to stop motorists sliding around during extreme manoeuvres. These might be essential. This two-door coupé produces 550PS, hits 62mph in 2.7 seconds, and is capable of a mighty 196mph. The price is £84,450 - £10,000 more than the 'normal' GT-R.
