The new Porsche 911 Turbo S makes the Starship Enterprise look like an old Citroen 2CV. It is, therefore, the fastest – most hard-core – most thrilling 911 ever conceived. So, let us follow in the footsteps of Mr Scott from Engineering and look under its beautifully sculpted bonnet. The 3.8-litre flat-six engine produces 523bhp and 516lb ft of torque. Is that more than a Klingon Bird of Prey? That monstrous power propels this two-door coupé to 62mph in an alien-busting 3.3 seconds. Top speed is a staggering 196mph, which is equivalent to warp factor six. This road legal rocket is priced like a spaceship too, so it costs a mighty £125,865. That is enough to put every wallet in the universe on 'red alert'.

Now, Mr Zulu is the man to pilot this menacing beauty – and he particularly likes the seven-speed PDK transmission. This operates via paddles mounted behind the steering wheel. There is no manual option. The Porsche 911 Turbo S also has launch control to make life more thrilling. Simply press the 'Sport Plus' button, lean on the brakes, punch the throttle, then sidestep the left peddle. Oh, and hold tight. This Klingon hating car rockets from 0 to 124mph in 10.8 seconds. Thank Star Fleet it has ceramic brakes and torque vectoring control for masterful balance. What a machine. I bet Captain Kirk loves it.
