The Renault Laguna Coupe is being picked-on by its classmates. That is because it has one 'masterful' feature that makes its rivals rage with jealously. Ladies and gentleman, the top-spec 3.0 V6 GT has four-wheel steering. What a remarkable feature to find on a Renault - or any car that costs a comparatively sensible £28,520. So, at low speeds, the rear wheels turn in the opposite direction to the fronts by up to 3.5 degrees. This improves agility, minimises under-steer, and helps the car stay flat through corners. In contrast, at higher speeds, the rear wheels turn in the same direction as the fronts to improve stability.

The Renault Laguna Coupe 3.0 V6 GT has a few more tricks to irritate its rivals. It sends 235bhp through six-speed automatic transmission - for starters - and that propels this front-wheel-drive plaything to 62mph in 7.3 seconds. Top speed is 150mph. Thank goodness it has a composed chassis, plenty of traction, and lively persona. It is clearly a different animal to the standard five-door Laguna that shares its DNA. Furthermore, this curvaceous coupe averages 39.8mpg, and its emissions are only 189g/km. These are impressive figures for a large car with enough poke to trounce any school bully. Happy days.
