Ladies and gentleman, please welcome to the stage... the new Renault Scenic. Now, hang on – there is no need to leave the theatre. Whereas the old model left some people 'cold' the new version is far superior. As such, this workhorse is now available in the Dynamique TomTom equipment trim only - and this includes: parking sensors, daytime running lights, and sharper looks than its predecessor. This complements features brought forward from the old model, including: sat-nav, auto headlights, and Bluetooth. Lane departure warning is optional too, as is the hill start system. The latter prevents the Scenic rolling backwards on slopes, which suits those who cannot drive. Come now, balance the clutch. It is on your left!

The new Renault Scenic has other strengths that encourage audiences to watch the second half. It seats five people in comfort - for starters - has a respectable boot, and feels reasonably robust. However, time will tell if bits fall-off the stage. Furthermore, the handling is composed, the ride comfortable, and the dCi 110 Stop & Start engine in particular is highly efficient. This cost-cutters dream averages 68.9mpg and its emissions are only 105g/ km - so it can be taxed annually for £20. Not a bad vehicle, then – and certainly worth an encore. Ticket prices range from £18,325 - £22,725. Maybe this MPV should join Equity?
