The latest Subaru Forester has had some styling updates and a more refined and efficient petrol engine. Economy has improved with reduced emissions but the engine power remains the same. The new engine is capable of 0-60 mph in 10.5 seconds.
All Subaru Forester models have four wheel drive but the systems differ depending on the specified transmission. VDC is standard on all models coordinating the engine, transmission and brakes in order to recover the vehicle’s position should any extreme manoeuvres or slippery conditions push the Forester into a slide.
The Subaru Forester has a new bolder front grille, revised mirrors and a new design of alloy wheel. The interior has also been updated with a vast improvement to the quality of materials used. Overall the third generation Forester is taller and wider than its predecessors and this significant enlargement repositions it amongst cars such as the Toyota Rav 4, the Honda CR-V and the Landrover Freelander.
