The Saab 9-3 SportWagon offers a choice of engines. Petrol buyers can choose from the three turbocharged 2.0 units, the 173 bhp choice can run on eco friendly bioethanol but you may prefer one of the three 1.9 litre diesels .

All 9-3 SportWagon models are fitted with twin front, side and curtain airbags, and anti-whiplash head restraints as standard. Stability control is also standard across the range. The security provision is comprehensive and historically 9-3s have had an excellent reputation for keeping thieves out.

The interior of the Saab 9-3 SportWagon is spacious, passengers in the rear have good headroom and decent legroom, and three adults can fit across the rear seat. There is a large boot for plenty of luggage and the rear seat splits 60/40. Whichever trim you choose, the Saab 9-3 SportWagon comes with dual-zone climate control, alloy wheels, parking sensors, cruise control and four powered windows. Vector Sport models come with sports suspension, while range-topping Aero models also add sporty bumpers, twin exhausts and bi-xenon headlamps.

Prices for the Saab 9-3 SportWagon start at £22,630 rising to £30,270.
