Explore BMWs PCP Offers For Winter 2020
A quick look through BMWs offers on their top-selling models...
10. 1 Series
Where better to start than at square one? The new 1 Series has enjoyed a (relatively, considering there’s a pandemic) successful first year in the marketplace. Purists were originally perturbed by the idea of a front-wheel-drive 1 Series but the transition has been seamless thanks to the stunning aesthetics and undying curb appeal of the 1 Series marque. The new model hosts a stunning interior with a more capacious cabin than its predecessor and a bigger boot too. The 1 Series is available for as little as £279 per month when purchased through BMW with a £4,954 deposit. Alternatively, if you fancy something slightly more raucous, the powerful M135i xDrive is available from $419 per month with an extra tenner on the deposit.
9. 2 Series
Next up is the 2 Series - a car which is available as a coupe, a Gran Coupe, a convertible, an Active Tourer and a Gran tourer. So there’s something for everyone, really. You’ll be surprised to know that the Gran Coupe is actually the most affordable in terms of monthly payments right now, with prices starting from £289 per month. The Gran Coupe is a 5 door and can seat 5 quite comfortably but if you’re using your vehicle as a family car then the Active Tourer will be the safer bet, which starts from £309 per month. This has a slightly better ride height and more practical dimensions to meet the demands of a growing family. We certainly wouldn’t recommend the Convertible (£389 per month) or Coupe (£339 per month) for growing families as those back seats are tricky to access and they’re not particularly roomy.
8. 3 Series
Next up is the 3 Series saloon. A car that needs no introduction here. The 3 Series is a bonafide people's champion. It meets the demands of millions of people across the world as a ‘junior’ saloon car that balances corporate life with family demands perfectly. The latest 3 series is loaded with technology and safety kit to ensure that it keeps up with the impressive competition from the likes of Audi and Mercedes. In all honesty at this point, personal preference will be the main deciding factor when choosing between the 3 Series, C-Class and A4 - they’re all brilliant cars in their own right, but the BMW has that X-Factor which keeps people coming back year after year. The M Sport saloon model is on sale now from just £379 per month with a £5,004 deposit but if you’d prefer something with an even bigger boot then the Touring version is available for £409 per month with a £5,294 deposit.
7. 4 Series
Then comes the latest 4 Series. If you cat your minds back a few years, BMW came under some scrutiny for replacing the 3 Series Coupe with the 4 Series but it does all make sense now. The new 4 Series is the first Beamer to don the controversial swollen kidney grilles. It’s a look that drew a lot of criticism upon reveal, but we’ve slowly warmed to the appearance and we think most people will once they see a new model in the flesh. The brand spanking new 4 Series is the latest model from the entire BMW range and is available right now for just £439 per month with a £5,399 deposit. If you want to be one of the first on the roads in the new 4 Series then you’re going to have to act quickly because we can see this selling particularly well.
6. 5 Series
Then, of course, the 5 Series. This really is the benchmark for modern saloon vehicles. The 5 Series is probably the most reputable saloon car on the market thanks to its incredible heritage and of course the pedigree that comes factory fitted thanks to the history of the BMW M5. This latest 5 Series really is a technology fans dream. It’s loaded with advanced equipment from the entry-level and is available for just £389 per month - which is less than the new 4 Series. This assumes a £5,529 deposit but you could opt for the more potent (and hybrid) 530e saloon which starts from £549 per month with a smaller deposit of just £5,459. The 530e delivers an awful lot of value in terms of both performance and efficiency, so if you can stretch to the higher monthly payment then we would certainly recommend it...
5. X1
Right, let’s get started on the SUVs. First up is the BMW X1. This is actually based on the platform of the 2 Series Active Tourer, so you can expect a similarly roomy cabin higher roofline and plenty of legroom for everyone on board. The boot has grown a lot when compared to the previous X1 too - it’s up by 85 litres to a healthy 505 litres. All this room and luggage space bring the X1 in line with other family crossovers such as the Ford Kuga and Nissan Qashqai but, naturally, the X1 surpasses both of these examples in terms of quality, equipment and refinement. The X1s real rivals are the likes of the Volvo XC40, Mercedes GLA and Audi Q3 - which are all excellent competitors. The new X1 is currently available from BMW for as little as £339 per month with a £5,134 deposit and that is for the sDrive 18i Sport model.
4. X2
The next car in the queue is the BMW X2 which is mechanically identical to the X1 but boasts a more aggressive and stylish front end and a compromised rear end. There really isn’t much to separate the two in terms of performance. It’s fair to say the X2 is definitely better looking, but the X1 isn’t unattractive but does have more headroom and shoulder room and a better-shaped boot. If you do want to opt for style over substance then you’ll actually be able to save your self a bit of money as the X2 is available for £319 per month with a £5,264 deposit - so it’s the cheaper option.
3. X3
Now for the X3. The X3 looks to take on the more substantial premium crossovers on the market, such as the Jaguar F Pace, Porsche Macan and Mercedes GLC. The new X3 has grown substantially over its predecessor. In fact, the new X3 is actually bigger than the first generation of X5 in both height and length. Nevertheless, the X3 is still a nimble car to drive around town and is more than spacious enough for a family of 5. It’s also surprisingly economical too. The 3-litre diesel model will not only accelerate to 60mph in just 5.8 seconds, but it will also return about 47 mpg when driven sensibly on the motorway, which isn’t bad at all! The new X3 is on sale right now and BMW is advertising a PCP deal from just £469 per month with a £5,379 deposit.
2. X4
The X4 is to the X3 what the X2 is to the X1 - if that makes sense? It’s a crossover coupe that is closely related to the X3 but is able to offer a more sporty aesthetic and, irritatingly, some compromised practicalities. Upon launch, BMW expected that for every 4 X3s that rolled off the forecourt, one X4 would follow. This isn’t a car that was built to become a best seller by any means, but it was built to occupy a niche while stating its case against other coupe crossovers. This is very much an inspired, albeit quirky, choice for car buyers. Thankfully its relatively affordable. The X4 is available on a PCP deal from BMW for £489 per month with a £5,149 deposit. So it’s only marginally more expensive than the X3 but notably more affordable than the X5, which is coming up next...
1. X5
Ah yes, the X5. A luxury SUV that we should all be familiar with by now. Rivalling the likes of the Range Rover Sport, Porsche Cayenne and Audi Q7 - the X5 has its work cut out among such brilliant competition. Gladly we can report that the latest X5 delivers on all fronts that you would expect it to. A range of strong engines, exceptional levels of equipment, premium materials used throughout and a solid level of desirability when out on the roads. Naturally, all this does demand a steeper price tag but BMW is offering their X5 from as little as £659 per month with a £6,454 deposit, which actually offers very good value when put alongside the alternatives.
All of these BMWs are on sale right now and are available to order irrespective of the current lockdowns. The dealership may be closed but there is still a salesman waiting for the phone to ring at your local dealership. Why not pick up the phone and book a COVId secure test drive at the soonest convenience and get your car buying journey off to the right start?
