10. Aion UT

The Aion UT electric hatchback will be the second model that Chinese brand Aion brings to the UK, following the Aion V. It’s built by GAC Aion but styled in Italy, giving it a more European look. UK specifications aren’t confirmed yet, but it’s expected to offer an electric range of more than 300 miles. In China, it comes with a 60kWh battery and a range of around 267 miles. Its dimensions put it up against rivals like the Volkswagen ID.3 - but the Aion UT will likely be cheaper.
9. Aion V

The Aion V will be the brand’s first car to hit UK roads, with deliveries expected in spring 2026. UK specs aren’t confirmed yet, but in other markets, it uses a 226PS electric motor and a 90kWh battery, offering roughly 325 miles of range. It will compete with models like the Skoda Enyaq and Tesla Model Y - but is likely to cost significantly less.
8. Alpine A390

The Alpine A390 could be available to pre-order very soon. It’s a sporty electric SUV designed to deliver both everyday practicality and real driving fun. Two versions will be offered, each capable of 0–62mph in under five seconds, with an 89kWh battery providing more than 320 miles of range. Inspired by the Alpine A110 coupe, it’s built to feel sporty but still work as a daily family car. It’s aimed at tempting buyers away from models like the Porsche Macan Electric, Polestar 4 and Maserati Grecale Folgore.
7. Bentley Luxury Urban SUV

Bentley hasn’t named its new electric SUV yet, but we’ll learn more when it’s unveiled in 2026 ahead of deliveries in 2027. What we do know is that it’s under five metres long and is designed to offer the craftsmanship and driving experience you’d expect from one of Britain’s most luxurious brands. Bentley also promises fast charging, with 0–100 miles added in under seven minutes, though battery size and range are still unconfirmed. Stay tuned.
6. BYD Atto 2

You can already buy the electric BYD Atto 2, but in 2026 BYD will launch petrol-electric plug-in hybrid (PHEV) versions as part of its UK expansion. The Chinese brand has quickly made a name for itself with mostly electric cars, and the new PHEV will add another option for buyers looking for value and plenty of standard features. While the Atto 2 hybrid doesn’t have many direct PHEV rivals, it could appeal to customers who might otherwise consider the Ford Puma or Toyota Yaris Cross.
5. Chery Tiggo 9 CSH

With first deliveries scheduled for the end of 2025, Chery hopes the Tiggo 9 CSH will build on the impact the brand has made since arriving in the UK. The new flagship seven-seat SUV looks impressive on paper, offering plenty of space, a long list of features, 428PS of power, and a 91-mile electric-only range from its plug-in hybrid system—all for under £45,000. Could it challenge rivals like the Kia Sorento, Skoda Kodiaq, or Volkswagen Tayron?
4. Cupra Raval

Previously called the Urban Rebel, the Cupra Raval is an upcoming electric city car just over 4m long. Positioned below the Cupra Born as the brand’s most affordable model, it offers up to 226PS from a front-mounted electric motor, delivering lively acceleration and a range of around 280 miles on a full charge. It aims to provide a sportier alternative to rivals like the Skoda Epiq and Volkswagen ID.Polo, which share the same platform.
3. Denza B5

Denza is BYD’s premium brand, aimed at rivals like BMW and Mercedes, and the Denza B5 will be one of its first models in the UK. It’s a premium yet rugged SUV, similar to the Land Rover Defender, powered by a plug-in hybrid with 686PS and up to 62 miles of electric-only range. With strong performance, off-road capability, and plenty of standard features, it’s set to turn heads when it arrives towards the end of 2026.
2. Honda Prelude

Honda has brought back the Prelude name after 25 years with a hybrid coupe that borrows several mechanical components from the Civic Type R. It features a 203PS hybrid system with plenty of torque and a chassis tuned for sharp handling. Orders opened in November 2025, with prices starting at £40,995, offering strong value and putting it in competition with the entry-level BMW 2 Series Coupe.

The quirky Honda Super-N electric city car was unveiled at the 2025 Japan Mobility Show, and Honda has confirmed it will reach the UK in 2026. A kei car - a very small type of car popular in Japan - the Super-N has a chunky, sporty design. Technical details are still under wraps, but it’s confirmed to be electric and will likely be priced under £30,000, putting it in competition with the Hyundai Inster and Renault 5.
