5. Nissan Leaf
The Nissan Leaf is one of the best selling electric cars ever. If that’s not encouraging enough then, thankfully, there’s a 0% APR deal just to sweep up anyone that is still unconvinced. You can get a brand new LEAF from Nissan right for just £249 per month with 0% APR when purchasing directly through Nissan Finance. This is for the 40kWh Leaf which should be good for around 144 miles on a single charge, alternatively, you can get a £1,000 deposit contribution against the longer-lasting 62kWh model (which can do up to 239 miles) with monthly instalments starting from £329 per month at 2.99% APR. These deals are only available until the end of March so you’ll have to act quickly to snap one up in time!
4. Vauxhall Corsa-E
The electric Corsa enters the market as a potential game-changer for Vauxhall, who have slightly fallen behind Ford over recent years in terms of sales, but this new fully-electric version of the hatchback we all know and love is something to admire. Right now Vauxhall is offering the Corsa-E for just £330 per month with a £1,980 initial rental on a 3 year deal with 10,000 miles per year. Don’t worry about actually paying for those miles though, because the deal comes with 30,000 miles of free electricity. so the potential savings are huge. Better still, this latest deal is in partnership with British Gas and comes with a free home charging unit too! Rapid charging the Corsa-E from 0-80% takes just 30 minutes and the car will be good for roughly 209 miles on a full charge. It’s no slouch either, with a 0-60 time of just 7.5 seconds!
3. Peugeot e-208
The e-208 is built on the same platform as the Corsa-E and they offer very similar driving dynamics, with the Peugeot arguably boasting the better looks - although that’s subjective as they’re incredibly similar. Right now Peugeot is offering their 50kWh 136 model - which can do roughly 217 miles on a single charge- for just £309 per month. This is on a 4-year finance agreement and Peugeot will contribute an additional £1,500 toward the deal. Better still, this deal applies to the high spec ‘GT Premium’ model which comes with the sporty exterior styling, keyless entry and start, adaptive cruise control, heated seats and upmarket Alcantara trim. In terms of bang for your buck, this model delivers in both spec, value and performance.
2. Renault ZOE
While the Tesla Model 3 may have been the best selling electric vehicle across the globe in 2020, the Renault Zoe was Europe’s top seller with massive 99,261 models sold - throughout a global pandemic! That’s almost 15,000 more units sold than Tesla’s Model 3. The ZOE is attractively priced at just £26,995 and is capable of a whopping 245 miles on a single full charge from the 52kWh battery. Right now Renault is offering the Zoe for £314 per month with an Advance Renault of just £2,649 over 48 months on a PCH deal. These models are ready to go and that affordable advanced rental means that if you’re hoping to ge5t behind the wheel of a class-leading EV ASAP - this is a sure bet. While the Zoe may be the smallest vehicle on the list, the boxy dimensions make it perfect for inner-city dwellers or those of us who just need a car to pop around town.
1. Hyundai Kona Electric
And last but certainly not least is something a bit more substantial. Right now Hyundai is offering their compact, fully-electric Kona with a £2,500 deposit contribution at just 4.9% APR, and if you order in the month of February (yeah, you’ve got a couple of days left) then they’ll knock an additional £1,000 off the list price. The Kona Electric is a practical and sustainable EV that has a massive electric range. Up to 300 miles on a single charge, to be precise. Naturally, as it is a brand new Hyundai, it will also come with 5 free annual health checks, Hyundai Roadside Assistance and of course a 5-year unlimited mileage warranty. We understand that not everybody is in a position to cram themselves into a boxy little hatchback to get themselves a sustainable electric vehicle at a good price, so this Kona Electric is priced attractively for those of us who are ready to make the change to EV while not making huge compromises on size and space. We love it!
